A significant saving can be achieved using a modular system as it provides a lighter weight structure than a traditional building.
Depending on ground conditions, a massed concrete pad foundation is all that is required to take the point loads from the columns within the modular structure. Otherwise for taller buildings capped piled foundations are more typical.
