Tulip Inn -
Castleford, Leeds

The architectural requirements of this Tulip Inn required a more traditional approach of brickwork panels with some render cladding and a pitched roof. The structural approach is identical to that of many of Caledonian’s hotel buildings, employing in-situ steel frame techniques for the large open plan areas for reception, restaurant and bar, whilst delivering meeting rooms, staff areas and bedrooms as fully fitted modular units, pre-finished in the Caledonian factory and connected alongside and above the in-situ frame.

Typical of Caledonian’s hotel build programmes, this 119 bed, 5 storey building was completed in 36 weeks from initial order, of which only 26 weeks were required on site.
